Deep Fried Devil Eggs

Rooster came across this unusual recipe this morning while watching a podcast on all things cowboys featuring Kent Rollins. Immediately he wanted to try it for the Scoutmaster Cook-Off at scout summer camp, but the logistics weren't in his favor.

So being the loving wife, who enjoys a little culinary adventure, I've printed the recipe & have begun this journey.

We begin with hard boiled eggs, cooled & peeled. Scoop out the yolks into a bowl & add mayo, mustard, sweet relish, Worcester sauce, salt, & pepper. Mix, put into a piping bag (or zip-top bag with the corner cut out), & set aside.

Next, mix together flour, bread crumbs, all-purpose seasoning, grated parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. Then beat some eggs - this is the glue. Dip the whites in the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, then back into the flour mixture, then place on a wire rack. Heat the oil & fry a few at a time until golden. Remove from the pan to drain. Then pipe on the filling, sprinkling smoked paprika on top.

You can find the full recipe here.

                        Soooo delicious!!
